This week in class the students will learn:
*The definition of congruence and its related notations.
*The basic properties of congruence are similar to the properties for all three rigid motions.
*That corresponding, alternate interior, and alternate exterior angles of parallel lines are equal.
*That when these pairs of angles are equal, then lines are parallel.
*That these angles are equal because of properties related to translation.
*The sum of the interior angles of a triangle is always 180 degrees.
*To present informal arguments to draw conclusions about angles formed when parallel lines are crossed by a transversal and the angle sum of a triangle.
*To use the Pythagorean Theorem.
